Public DNS64 and NAT64
Earlier this year we stood up three free, open to the public NAT64 and the corresponding DNS64 servers. Each one can provide a true IPv6-only experience for anyone wanting to learn more about IPv6 operations.
The current systems are:
ABQ-IX (New Mexico, UL)
FCIX (California, US)
CMI Hub (Champaign, IL)
Simply set your DNS resolver to the closest regional DNS64 resolver and it will direct all traffic to the partner NAT64 system.
dns64.fm2.ztvi.org # Fremont DC, CA, US
dns64.abq.ztvi.org # ABQ-IX, Albuquerque, NM, US
dns64.cmi.ztvil.org # CMI, Champaign, IL, US
We are looking for more locations and will be adding DNS over TLS and HTTPS as both a new service, and an enhancement of these DNS64 systems soon!
N.B.
These are not meat for things like streaming, file sharing, or (obviously) abusive traffic, so be a good netizen and use them to learn.
